I can still remember when Astroneer first hit early access. It was the first game I truly dove headfirst into on PC, and in those early days, I logged an easy 80+ hours. Since then, I’ve only jumped in here and there for small updates to see how things have progressed, always enjoying my time exploring these colorful and odd planets. It’s great to see this bigger DLC coming out, with glitch storms taking center stage in this planet-exploring and resource-mining game.

I had the chance to review Été, a watercoloring game set in a colorless city of Montreal, where the soundtrack played a wonderful part in the gameplay. Eric Shaw has finally released the soundtrack for us all to enjoy. It has an overall French influence that sets the tone for a beautiful, fun-filled summer in Montreal. Enjoy!

Balatro - Jimbo Plushie
Though I still haven’t tried Balatro, there’s no mistaking its dominant impact on the gaming scene since its release earlier this year. Makeship, who ran the successful campaign, works with studios and developers to create crowdfunded plushies or toys, many of which are gaming-themed. It’s a great way to produce a quality product at a more affordable price without significant risks.

Kirby Car Mouth
When the trailer for Kirby and the Forgotten Land dropped, the internet lost its collective mind seeing Kirby suck up a whole car and drive around the world. Nintendo had a hit before they even knew it. Now, you can own your very own version! Fun fact: they also have the lightbulb version of this plush, too.

Sega Mega Drive/Genesis: Ultimate Works
A retrospective of the '90s Sega game console with artwork, illustrations, game developer interviews, and the complete guide to the Master Drive’s first-party hardware.
Originally released in 2014, this new and expanded version, releasing a decade later, features an additional 48 pages of newly discovered work from the Mega Drive (or Genesis, as it was for me) era.
I’m particularly excited about new box art for many classics, including Kid Chameleon, Phantasy Star, Sonic the Hedgehog, and even original design documents for an odd game I loved growing up—Dynamite Headdy!
