Embark on a journey across vast landscapes in Caravan SandWitch, a captivating narrative-driven exploration adventure. I may have posted about this game, the demo, the soundtrack, and more over the last few months, so I don’t think I need to add much more. Just get the game when it releases. 😉

Discover post-revolutionary Mexico through the eyes of a photojournalist who will find that Mexico is no place for the weak! You’ll take photos, check your notes, and eavesdrop on locals to get to the bottom of a murder in Mexico, 1921: A Deep Slumber.

I truly loved the first installment of Grapple Dog, a critically acclaimed 2D platformer. This time, Pablo returns with his companion Luna to save the cosmos by solving puzzles and navigating action-packed levels across interdimensional landscapes in Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines.

Crowdfunding Checkpoint
Altered Alma is another runaway hit on Kickstarter, funded in just 6 hours. It’s jam-packed with action and described as a neon-lit Metroidvania set in the depths of a cyberpunk RPG. It comes across as artistically bright in colors but deep and dark in the brutal ways you can kill your enemies. Luckily, it’s only a few days into the campaign, so you still have time to back it!

Quest Vibes
This week is just a small insight into the main intro song for Thank Goodness You’re Here and the soundtrack of Mika and The Witch’s Mountain, composed by Adrián Berenguer.
Oh, What A Beauty!
The Thank Goodness You’re Here soundtrack is still not available on streaming platforms, so I was listening to a version uploaded by a fan on YouTube when I came across a comment about the song's origins.
It’s taken from the 1969 movie Kes and performed by Joey Kaye. In TGYH, it is titled The Marrow Song, but it also goes by 'What a Whopper.' The lyrics are quirky, and Joey gives a goofy performance, perfectly fitting for the game it appears in. Enjoy!
A shoutout to (at)ThaumPenguin on YouTube for this piece of musical history.
Artist Spotlight: Adrián Berenguer
In my review of Mika and the Witch’s Mountain, I mentioned the soundtrack's main theme as a highlight, but it has a few other gems, so I wanted to share it with you to see if any songs stand out to you! Also, Adrián Berenguer is a phenomenal musical talent, and his work spans more than just gaming soundtracks. I have linked his website, Spotify, and YouTube pages for you to check out.

Good Game Lobby Review
This week, I posted reviews for Desvelado, a hand-drawn bed-time-vania, and Mika and The Witch’s Mountain, a fantasy adventure game inspired by Kiki’s Delivery Service and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Let me know if you’ve tried them out or plan to in the comments!
Altered alma is set in Barcelona! I can see references in the cover art: Agbar tower (back), Sagrada Familia (mid), and Columbus statue (front). Also Dalí and Gaudi’s architecture appear in the trailer. I was born in Barcelona ^•^
