Wishlisted XP
Here are four indie titles releasing soon!
Fowl Damage is such an interesting game. You are an egg, so your body is very fragile. It’s a puzzle platformer where you need to always be aware of your next move. You don’t want to jump too high, jump too low, or land on a hard surface. The best part about the game is—it releases…TODAY!
🎮Fowl Damage | Steam
🗓️Release Date | Today!
A pixel shooter puzzle adventure set on microchips where you eradicate a computer virus. Byte The Bullet looks like the health system is based on whether the computer will overheat, and you collect 1’s and 0’s along the way. Its style reminds me of Gato Roboto, but instead of just black and white, you get to experience full color, which is loud and gives the game a lot of its character.

🗓️Release Date | September 19th
One of the highlights of following indie developers is that they don’t gatekeep games from other developers. They share who they appreciate in the space, and that’s how I found out about TRIP. You’re traveling on a train where you meet an interesting cast of characters, enjoy the beautiful view, and discover deeper mysteries. The game’s release date is not yet known, but the demo is launching next week. The visuals and music look like a great time, and I’m excited to try this one out!
🎮TRIP | Steam
🗓️Demo Release Date | September 19th
This game doesn’t release until next month, but the release date trailer just dropped, so I wanted to share it with you! Kind Words 2 is the second iteration of a social online game where you talk to people directly, sharing anything you want. The examples they give include poems, asking for help, sharing frustrations, or just being a chill person. The world looks cute and colorful, and it feels like a small social network within a cozy, comforting world.

🗓️Demo Release Date | October 7th
Crowdfunding Checkpoint
Bumbleborn has updated the Kickstarter landing page with more detail on his campaign for a Echo: Comet Coast. If you are a gamer who wants to support upcoming indie developers then go save the campaign so you get notified when it launches!
He describes the game as:
Inspired by Link's Awakening and Harvest Moon, A classic top-down Zelda experience where your key items are also crops you have to farm. - Bumbleborn Kickstarter
You can try out the demo on itch right now!

Quest Vibes
🎮I Am Your Beast | Steam
🗓️Release Date | Out Now!
I Am Your Beast is the latest release this year from Strange Scaffold, an indie studio that keeps its work lean and focused, allowing them to release more games more often, all to critical acclaim. It’s a game where you hunt the military-industrial complex, with comic book-style visuals in a fast-paced, covert first-person shooter.
They also released one of my favorite games this year, Clickolding. It’s a 45-minute clicking simulator that is bizarre and made me question my own values—so, you know, fun!
🎮CLICKOLDING | Steam
🗓️Release Date | Out now!
Why am I sharing all of these games in the Quest Vibes section? Well, that’s because RJ Lake is the composer for both soundtracks and works on many of Strange Scaffold’s games. When RJ Lake isn’t working on new music, sound effects, or voice acting for their games, they are leading D-Cell Games and directing Unbeatable, an upcoming rhythm adventure game. Each of these game soundtracks is unique in its own way, ranging from pop-punk to jazz, neo-noir, and beyond. This showcases RJ’s impressive ability to capture fresh ideas for all types of games—a true musical genius!
Have you played any of the Strange Scaffold games? My first was Clickolding and I am eager to dive into El Paso, Elsewhere soon.

Good Game Lobby Reviews
This week I had the pleasure to review Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines and one of my most anticipated games Caravan SandWitch. Two great games you should check out.
It blows my mind that even though I follow indie games and produce two articles a month about upcoming games, there are still titles I've never even heard about - such as this nice roundup.
I do not have the patience to play Fowl Damage!
