Last night was the official Game Devs of Color Expo Direct. It is a space where they hold their Indie Games Showcase and it was packed with indie games of all types. Here are a handful of game trailers from the studios featured in the show.
This pixel turn-based rhythm JRPG, Keylocker, is packed with action. Set in a cyberpunk-themed world where music is outlawed, you star as a singer ready to rock your way to freedom.

Die in the Dungeon is a dungeon-crawling, deck-building, turn-based roguelike indie title. The 'die' in the title has a double meaning. You use dice to boost effects with magical relics, setting you up for unexpected encounters and turns based on your rolls. If the song in the trailer is anything like the rest of the game's soundtrack, we are in for a treat. Plus, the lead character is a frog, so yeah, I am sold on that. I just love frogs, okay? 🐸

Fall Up looks like a Nintendo game. It honestly feels like what Chibi-Robo would be today if Nintendo weren’t gatekeeping my favorite character. The visuals of this platforming adventure game are cartoonish and polished in a way that reminds me of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I am excited to see where the main character, Labi, ventures in this lost world of mechanical wonders.

This is another game that I hold close to my heart. I’ve been following the developer on Threads for a while now, watching the game grow, and seeing this polished trailer along with a demo available is so inspiring. Head to threads and give him a follow to see the progress of the game and insights.
