Caravan SandWitch invites you to embark on an immersive journey across the sci-fi landscapes of Cigalo, inspired by the serene region of Provence. As the protagonist, you traverse a post-apocalyptic world transformed by human exploitation in search of your missing sister.
With your trusty van and essential tools, you navigate through challenging terrains and ancient ruins. By scavenging for components, you can upgrade your vehicle to unlock new areas and delve deeper into the mysteries that lie ahead.
I love death stranding, it is one of the inspirations for the game actually ☺️ - SandwitchDev on Instagram
My immediate connection to the game was due to its parallels with Death Stranding, a game I hold near and dear to my heart. Think of it as Death Stranding, but without combat and more focused on exploring the themes of bringing a community together one strand at a time. This community seems to be growing beyond the world of Cigalo, as Studio Plane Toast has shared that they have received over 100,000 wishlists for the game!
Make sure to wishlist it now with a release coming later this year to Switch, Playstation, and Xbox.

Crowdfunding Checkpoint
This week’s crowdfunding post focuses on a game developed by a couple from Ireland, making the cutest thing you will come across this week.
Humblets is a cozy survival game set in a vibrant, colorful fantasy world. I was scrolling through social media when I saw a clip and was immediately enthralled. It gives off the coziness of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the farming of Stardew Valley, with just a hint of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild visuals in the open world. I will be honest, I did not know I needed a cute and cozy game like this, and now I am adding it to my most anticipated list.
I had a chance to speak with the developers Daria and Aaron about what inspired them to make Humblets.
“Our main inspiration came from our passion for playing games together. We noticed there wasn't a game that perfectly captured what we were looking. Being active members of cozy game communities, we've also seen what people wanted which really reaffirmed our belief that this is something we could create. We've had so many ideas for a while now and finally decided to go for it. Humblets is a combination of all the elements we adore and our love of everything fantasy into one cozy and fun game that we hope everyone will enjoy!” - Daria and Aaron
You can pre-save their Kickstarter campaign right now to be notified when it launches. If you want to be involved now you can join the discord today and unlock a cute mushroom hat when the game launches.

Pipsqueak has 8 days left in its campaign. If you haven’t backed it yet, now is the time. The more they are funded, the more tiers we can unlock, leading to additional features. You can see my demo playthrough here if you need more convincing on why this game is one of my most anticipated. You can try it out for yourself on Steam right now and watch the demo playthrough below.

Quest Vibes
When I started exploring the Game Boy scene, I was astonished by the number of Game Boy and Game Boy Color games being developed today. Itch.io hosts a plethora of demakes ranging from popular titles like Elden Ring to Animal Crossing. What stands out even more is the creativity of developers who are innovating and breathing new life into this older hardware. Despite the musical constraints imposed by the Game Boy's hardware limitations, musicians have managed to transcend these boundaries, using them to enhance the digital soundscape. BeatScribe's soundtrack for 'A Cat & His Boy' exemplifies this perfectly. 'Alone in an Expanding Universe' is a beautiful composition that embodies its title, evoking a sense of drifting into an ever-expanding cosmos.
‘A Cat & His Boy’ tells the story of Leif, a young boy whose parents have recently divorced. His cat Midnight explores the house, cleans up after him, meets other unique animals, beats his high score in a mini-game, and brings hope back into the young boy's life.
You can buy the A Cat & His Boy on Itch.io and Nintendo Switch. It is coming soon to Steam so make sure to Wishlist it!

Do you know what is an insane thing to do? To go out and buy a art book for a game you haven’t even played. That is what I did when I saw the Lost In Cult’s release of of Eastward: Design Works.
Rest assured, I have begun my journey in Eastward. This speaks volumes to the work Lost In Cult has done in curating limited editions of game releases and art books for their Design Works series. All I knew about the game was the visuals and that was enough to hook me. I will provide a more detailed recap in the future. Meanwhile, enjoy these gorgeous image previews from the book.
Eastward is now available on Switch, Xbox, and Steam, along with its newly released DLC, 'Octopia.' Dive into the game and enjoy 'Raining Fish' by Joel Corelitz from the Octopia Soundtrack on the latest Quest Vibes.
